Cabot Creamery announced on Monday that its Gouda Shredded Cheese was selected as a winner in Good Housekeeping’s 2027 Kitchen Awards. The Vermont-based cooperative, headquartered in Waitsfield, confirmed the selection in a statement released on October 27, 2026. The full list of award recipients is available on the Good Housekeeping website.

The company launched its Gouda line in 2025, beginning with an 8-ounce block. Since that initial release, Cabot has expanded the product range to include 3/4-ounce bars, slices, and cracker cuts. Shredded cheese was the most recent addition to the lineup. The product is designed for easy cooking and snacking, featuring a creamy texture and a nutty flavor profile. The pre-shredded format allows for even distribution in both hot and cold dishes.

Matt Mason, Vice President of Business Management at Cabot Creamery, noted the importance of the recognition. "Since cheese is such an essential ingredient in so many kitchens, it’s especially meaningful to see Cabot Gouda Shredded Cheese recognized by Good Housekeeping," Mason said. He added that the award reflects the work of the cooperative’s members, from the farms supplying the milk to the creameries processing it.

Cabot Creamery is a farmer-owned cooperative and certified B-Corp that has operated for over a century. The company sources high-quality milk from farm families across New England and New York. It produces a variety of dairy items, including cheddar cheese, butter, Greek yogurt, sour cream, and dips. The Gouda Shredded Cheese is currently sold at select retailers and specialty stores.

The award comes as consumer demand for convenient, ready-to-eat cheese options remains steady. Cabot positions the Gouda Shredded Cheese as a high-quality choice in a competitive market. The product is part of the company’s broader Gouda collection, which has grown rapidly since its debut last year. For more details on the product, the company directs customers to its official website.
