Residents can plan their summer evenings around a four-production season at the Oscar Seagle Memorial Theater. The Seagle Festival announced its 2026 mainstage schedule, featuring works by Gilbert and Sullivan, Mozart, Jake Heggie, and Rodgers and Hammerstein.

The season opens with the light opera H.M.S. Pinafore. Audiences will see this production on July 8, 9, and 11 at 7:30 pm. A matinee performance is scheduled for July 10 at 2:00 pm. The piece features the classic British naval setting and familiar tunes associated with the Gilbert and Sullivan style.

Mozart’s Così fan tutte follows in late July. Performances are set for July 22, 23, and 25 at 7:30 pm, with an afternoon showing on July 24 at 2:00 pm. The opera is sung in Italian, and the festival will project English supertitles for the audience. The plot centers on two men and their lovers.

Jake Heggie’s Dead Man Walking arrives in early August. Shows occur on August 5, 6, and 8 at 7:30 pm, with a matinee on August 7 at 2:00 pm. The libretto by Terrence McNally focuses on Sister Helen Prejean and her work with a death row inmate.

The season concludes with The Sound of Music in late August. Performances are scheduled for August 19, 20, and 22 at 7:30 pm. Two additional afternoon shows will take place on August 21 and 22 at 2:00 pm. The musical includes songs such as Do-Re-Mi and My Favorite Things.

Ticket information is available at seaglefestival.org. The box office can be reached by calling (518) 532-7875.
