Peacock released the official trailer for The Good Daughter on Monday. The six-episode limited series is scheduled to premiere on Nov. 12.
The show follows sisters Samantha and Charlotte Quinn. The women were separated by a violent incident twenty years ago. A new attack in their small hometown of Pikeville forces them to reunite. Charlotte, a lawyer, serves as the first witness at the scene of the new crime.
Charlotte is played by Meghann Fahy. Her sister Samantha is portrayed by Rose Byrne. Brendan Gleeson appears as their father, Rusty Quinn. The story moves between the family's past and present. Buried memories and secrets surface as Charlotte investigates.
Karin Slaughter wrote all six episodes. She also serves as showrunner and executive producer. Steph Green directed every episode. Green previously worked on Watchmen and The Americans. The cast includes Olivia Williams, Harper Steele, Michael Dorman, Audrey Grace Marshall, and Drew Cheek.
The series will also debut on Sky and NOW in the United Kingdom and Ireland on the same day. The project adapts Slaughter's bestselling novel. The trailer highlights the sisters' estrangement and their shared trauma.
