New York Jets wide receiver Garrett Wilson is uncertain to play on Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs after suffering a head injury in the loss to the Las Vegas Raiders. Head coach Aaron Glenn designated Wilson as day-to-day following a report from the team facility on Monday. Wilson arrived with lingering concussion symptoms and is currently undergoing the league's protocol.

The injury occurred during the Jets' 38-33 defeat on Sunday. Wilson was hit while making a catch on the team's penultimate play. Las Vegas safety Jeremy Chinn drew a penalty for unnecessary roughness, but Wilson stayed on the field for the final Hail Mary attempt. The pass was intended for Wilson in the end zone but was not completed.

The Jets face a three-game losing streak into the matchup against the heavily favored Chiefs. Wilson leads the team with 43 receptions, 527 receiving yards, and three touchdown catches. The offense has depth at the receiver position. Adonai Mitchell recorded a career-high 147 yards last week, and rookie Omar Cooper Jr. has posted two games with over 100 receiving yards.

Running back Breece Hall is expected to return to the lineup after missing five games with a quadriceps injury. Glenn stated that Hall is trending in the right direction. The team limited Hall's practice for the past two weeks while he was listed as questionable to avoid further injury. Braelon Allen has started five games and accumulated 504 rushing yards, averaging 5.0 yards per carry.

Allen is second in the NFL for rushing yards over that span, trailing only Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Bucky Irving, who has 548 yards. Glenn said both Hall and Allen will see time on the field but declined to specify how the workload will be divided. Hall signed a three-year contract worth $43.5 million in the offseason.

Trade rumors have circulated regarding Hall, but Glenn dismissed the speculation on Monday. He emphasized that the team is in the business of retaining top talent and confirmed Hall will remain with the Jets. The roster may also receive a boost to the pass rush. Rookie David Bailey, who leads the team with 5.5 sacks, is likely to play after missing one game with a groin injury. Edge rusher Joseph Ossai is poised to return after sitting out the last three games with an ankle injury.

The Jets travel to Kansas City for the contest this weekend. Glenn noted that the team is hopeful for Wilson's return but did not provide a definitive timeline beyond the day-to-day designation. The coaching staff plans to evaluate the status of both Wilson and Hall as the game approaches.
