Beacon Bank and its foundation gave $460,000 to more than 150 nonprofit organizations from July through September 2026. The charitable contributions spread across Vermont, New York, Connecticut, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts.

James J. Morris IV, the bank's president in Vermont, attributed the regional strength to daily local efforts. He stated that the institution remains committed to supporting groups that create opportunities and meet critical needs. The bank, formerly known as Berkshire Bank, operates five branches in the state: two in Manchester, one in Rutland, one in Arlington, and one in Ludlow.

Funding in the third quarter went to organizations focused on neighborhood revitalization, education, and critical services. Specific recipients in Vermont included the Council on Aging for Southeastern Vermont Incorporated and Rutland Neighbors Inc. The Stratton Mountain School & Ski Foundation Inc. and VNA & Hospice of the Southwest Region Inc. also received grants. Wonderfeet Kids Museum was another beneficiary.

Beacon Bank operates as a subsidiary of Beacon Financial Corporation, which is headquartered in Boston. The parent company reports $21.9 billion in total assets. More than 145 branches serve customers throughout New England and New York. The bank provides commercial, retail, and consumer banking products, along with equipment financing and private wealth services.
