An InvestigateTV+ report published Oct. 29 examines how camera systems that record vehicle information can be used to track people, including a security researcher who found Flock Safety cameras streaming openly online.

Flock Safety has said its cameras do not track people. The report notes that the company's own training videos show police using the system to follow suspects from location to location, and that some cameras are designed to follow people as they walk.

Benn Jordan, a security researcher, said he found dozens of Flock cameras streaming openly online. Jordan also said the cameras use AI to zoom in and follow a person whether or not that person is a person of interest.

Also in the InvestigateTV+ report is veteran James Poggi, who served in the Marine Corps in aviation. Poggi's military service led to five back surgeries and a below-the-knee amputation, the report said.

Poggi's wife, who is his caregiver, suggested he get a service dog to help with the emotional toll, the report said. The report also covers diabetes, which is the seventh leading cause of death in the United States and the leading cause of kidney disease, with an estimated 40 million people living with it nationwide.

The report said doctors say diabetes continues to affect the South, including North Carolina. It also includes Southern Tradition, a barbershop quartet formed in 1999, and member Karl Hansen said the main attribute of a singer in that format is to not be embarrassed.
